The best Ubersuggest alternatives in 2026 (and when Ubersuggest is enough)

Facts checked October 2026. Prices change: check each vendor before buying.

Who this is for: business owners, freelancers and small agencies who started with Ubersuggest and are wondering whether something else fits better now. Ubersuggest is a fair choice for learning SEO on one site, and it is cheap. People start looking for an Ubersuggest alternative when they take on clients, need rankings more often than once a week, or want a local business to show up in the map results.

Below are six alternatives with prices from their official pricing pages (checked October 2026), who each one suits, and one honest drawback for each. We also cover when to stick with Ubersuggest. The direct comparison with RankThat is on RankThat vs Ubersuggest.

Why people move on from Ubersuggest

Ubersuggest’s pricing page puts its plans at US$29 to US$99 a month, with a one-time lifetime option and a 7-day free trial on monthly plans. For that you get keyword ideas, a weekly site audit, rank tracking, AI visibility checks and SEO training. The reasons people outgrow it are fairly consistent:

  1. Rankings update weekly. Tracked keywords refresh once a week on every plan (125 to 300 keywords per project). If a client calls on Thursday asking why they dropped, a Monday number doesn’t help.
  2. No client reporting. Ubersuggest says it doesn’t offer white-label reports or branded client portals. That is fine for your own site and a problem the day you have a paying client.
  3. No map grid for local businesses. A plumber cares about where they show in the local pack across their service area. Ubersuggest doesn’t list a local grid.
  4. The audit tells you, but you do the work. The weekly audit lists issues; there is no listed way to apply fixes to your site.
  5. Lifetime deals are final. Their pricing page says lifetime purchases are non-refundable, so check that the tool still fits before you commit.

Pick by situation

Not everyone leaving Ubersuggest needs the same thing.

Two examples

Bean & Barrel Coffee, a fictional roaster selling through a WooCommerce store, has one site, about 80 keywords worth tracking and an owner who does the SEO on Sunday evenings. Weekly rankings are fine. What the owner wants is keyword ideas for new product pages and someone to explain what to fix. Ubersuggest’s cheapest plan or Mangools Basic covers that. RankThat Starter would also work, mainly if the owner wants audit fixes applied to the WooCommerce site through the Bridge plugin rather than doing them by hand, but it is not the cheapest option here.

A freelancer with four clients, including Coastline Plumbing in Austin, has different needs. Each client wants a monthly report with their own logo, the plumber cares about map rankings across his service area, and the freelancer needs current numbers before each client call. Ubersuggest can track the four sites, but the reports would be built by hand every month and there is no map grid. Here a platform with white-label reporting and local SEO built in, such as RankThat Professional ($99/mo for 5 projects) or BrightLocal for the local side, saves several hours a month.

The pattern: if you are the only reader of your SEO data, cheap tools are fine. Once someone else reads it, reporting and current numbers decide the choice.

The alternatives

1. RankThat

Who it suits: freelancers and small agencies doing SEO for clients, and business owners with several sites.

Price: Starter $50/mo (1 project, 100 keywords, 10 mini audits a month, 5 AI articles), Professional $99/mo (5 projects, 1,000 keywords per project, full site audits, AI visibility and local SEO), Enterprise $199/mo (unlimited). Yearly is 10 months’ price. 14-day free trial; a card is needed at sign-up and you aren’t charged until the trial ends. See pricing.

Strengths:

  • Rank tracking daily or weekly per project, desktop and mobile, for any location.
  • The free WordPress Bridge plugin applies approved fixes from the site audit (titles, redirects, schema, alt text, image compression and more), with one-click undo.
  • Monthly client reports drafted in plain English, white-label, with a read-only client portal.

Limitation: it costs more than Ubersuggest, and Starter tracks fewer keywords (100) than Ubersuggest’s cheapest plan (125). AI visibility and local SEO start on Professional. RankThat also has no lifetime plan, no browser extension and no SEO training course.

2. Mangools

Who it suits: solo site owners and freelancers who mainly want keyword research.

Price: Basic $30.50/mo, Premium $40.50/mo, Agency $70.50/mo on monthly billing; $18.85, $26.35 and $48.85 a month billed annually. 48-hour money-back guarantee.

Strengths:

  • KWFinder, SERP analysis, backlinks, site profiles and rank tracking in one bundle at a similar price to Ubersuggest.
  • AI Search Watcher (500 prompts) and API and MCP access included.
  • Unlimited tracked domains; 200 keywords on Basic, 1,500 on Agency.

Limitation: rankings update weekly on Basic and Premium (daily only on Agency), and there’s no white-label reporting listed.

3. BrightLocal

Who it suits: local businesses and agencies whose results depend on the map.

Price: Track plan $41/mo for one location ($31/mo billed annually); Manage $54/mo and Grow $65/mo for one location. Prices rise with the number of locations. 14-day free trial, no card required.

Strengths:

  • Local rank tracking for up to 100 keywords and four competitors on Track.
  • A geo-grid map of rankings for up to five keywords.
  • Citation accuracy monitoring, with pay-as-you-go citation building from $3.20 per site.

Limitation: it is built for local search. For keyword research beyond local terms, content planning or a full technical audit you would pair it with another tool.

4. SE Ranking

Who it suits: small agencies that need many projects and daily rankings.

Price: Core $129/mo (10 projects, 2,000 keywords tracked daily, 1 seat), $103.20 billed annually. Growth $279/mo. 14-day free trial without a card.

Strengths: daily tracking on Google, Bing, Yahoo and YouTube; a Local & Map Rank Tracker; 25 content articles a month on Core.

Limitation: a big step up in price from Ubersuggest, and white label needs the Agency Pack (+$69/mo, annual billing only).

5. Moz Pro

Who it suits: a single-site owner who wants Moz’s metrics and learning resources.

Price: a $49/mo plan for individuals managing one website; Standard $99/mo (3 sites, 300 keywords, 1 user), $79 billed yearly.

Strengths: Domain Authority and Page Authority; AI prompt tracking for GPT, Gemini and Google AI Mode on Standard; MozBar Premium Chrome extension.

Limitation: Standard’s 300 keywords and one user are tight once you add a second or third site, and Moz Local is a separate product.

6. Semrush

Who it suits: businesses that need deep research and can justify the cost.

Price: a free account with one demo project; paid plans from $139/mo (5 websites, 500 keywords tracked daily), $117.33 billed annually. 7-day free trial.

Strengths: 28B+ keywords in 142 geographic databases; daily tracking down to ZIP level; PPC and market research tools.

Limitation: the price is several times Ubersuggest’s, and local, AI visibility and content tools are paid add-ons on top.

When Ubersuggest is enough

Keep Ubersuggest if you are learning SEO on one site and want training as much as data. The step-by-step course, templates and email support for your SEO questions are its strongest point, and RankThat offers no training course. It also makes sense if you want a one-time purchase rather than a monthly bill, or if weekly rankings and a weekly audit match how often you work on the site. The $5/mo add-ons for an extra project, 250 keywords or a user keep it cheap as you grow a little.

It stops being enough when you report to someone else: a client, a boss or a business partner who expects a branded report and current numbers.

Moving from Ubersuggest to RankThat

There’s no Ubersuggest import, so new ranking history starts on the day you add keywords. Your Search Console data is unaffected, because that comes from Google.

  1. Export your tracked keywords from each Ubersuggest project, plus a last rankings snapshot to keep on file.
  2. Start a trial on the plan that fits. If you have one site and want local or AI tracking, that is Professional, not Starter.
  3. Add each site as a project and connect Google Search Console and Google Analytics 4.
  4. Paste the keywords into a Keyword List and click Track rankings. Set the location, device and daily or weekly checks.
  5. Install the free Bridge plugin if the site runs WordPress, run an audit and approve the first fixes.
  6. Add a couple of competitors so you can see keyword gaps and share of voice from the first week.

If you only need keyword ideas, don’t switch for that alone. Switch when rankings, fixes or client reports are taking up your week.

New to keyword work? Keyword research for small business covers choosing terms before you track them.
